Mother’s Day 2015 Gift Ideas in Kansas City
From one mother to another, we need this day!
As a stay-at-home mom with 4 kids, a dog and a successful home-based business, I can get pretty worn out at times.
Everyone wants my attention and I feel like I’m being pulled in all directions wishing I was Elistagirl from the Incredibles.
While in my mind I’m screaming…Calgon, take me away!
Are you with me?
Mother’s day gives us an opportunity to be grateful that we are blessed to have our family while they cater to us, shower us with gifts and tell us how much they love us.
Cherish that one day a year!
Mother’s Day Gifts
You might feel pressured to get expensive jewelry or technology for your wife or mother.
Now with sites like Pinterest, you can get some really great DYI gift ideas that moms appreciate more than something expensive….well, I guess it depends who the mom is, lol.
Maybe mixing it up every year might be a good idea:)
No, these aren’t actual presents from Kansas City, but I’ll get to that later.
But you can’t ignore the fact that Pinterest DYI gifts are more thought out, more considerate.
If you’re saying to yourself that you don’t like making gifts or you don’t have time, think again.
I mean, take a look at this original generational photo…
Who wouldn’t love this?
And you can definitely make that generational picture in Kansas City of course;)
Start out by taking a picture of your child, while it’s being developed in an hour, go get a frame.
Then get the picture, put it in the frame, hold it and have someone take your picture in the same spot you took the kids.
If you can’t seem to get your mom/grandma in that same spot, take a picture of the background by itself, then take a picture with her holding the picture on a different background and visit a website called fiverr.com to have them photoshop her in!
Everything on fiverr is $5, but if you’ve waited until last minute, you might buy an extra gig to get it asap.
Wallah!
Great present for about $30 depending on how much the frame was.
And it’s super cute!

Oh, and you might be wondering why I added “in Kansas City” to my title and it’s so you could more easily find me on Google.
You see, I’ve figured out a way to make money from home and blogging is part of it.
I started out just wanting to make $200 to get my hair and nails done.
Once I realized how easy it was to get that, I kept going!
Now I’ve retired my husband, (he was VP of a local bank) and we are making more money than we dreamed was possible.
If you would like to make some extra money working part-time from home (no technical skills needed), check out the details HERE.
Happy Mother’s Day!
