Best-Way-to-Download-YouTube-Videos-on-iPhone-iPad-for-Free

In small businesses like ours, people join people.

So it’s really important to know…

how to create a youtube video so they get to know, like and trust you.

Two main reasons we do this business is time and financial freedom.  It really is possible to have both, we know, because we have it.

Knowing how to create a Youtube video is a way to automate people getting to know you.

It’s just like falling in love with a character in a movie.

Oh! …With that said, in your videos you wanna make sure you are NOT acting.

People join YOU for who YOU are.  As soon as they see you aren’t who you appeared to be, they’ll bail!

Purpose of Videos

  • Branding
  • Leads
  • Improve your websites readership
  • Get customers

What to say

When your audience hits the play button, it may be their very first time seeing you.  Make sure you begin every video saying your name and how they can otherwise connect with you.

EX: Hi, we are Quintin and Lori Conway and you can learn more about us at ConwayAdventure.com.

Then quickly give them a reason to stick around.  Tell them why they should watch your video and approximately how long it is.

No need to say 2 minutes and 43 seconds. Short 3 minute video will suffice.

When telling them why they should watch your video, stick to the bullets…NO RAMBLING!

Now it’s time to edutain…educate and entertain.

Make sure it aligns with your keyword rich title.

Someone wouldn’t continue reading this if the title was How To Create The Best Bike Tour, because it’s all about how to create a Youtube video!

Always deliver whatever you promise.

Then wrap up with the conclusion.

Today I told you about.. or how to…

Now offer them some advice based on the information you just gave them.

For example, maybe an exercise that has helped you with whatever you just explained to them.  Or an experience you’ve had about whatever you just delivered.

Metaphors are part of the edutaining.  Again, stick to the bullet version.

So the sequence is tell them what you’re about to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you just told them.

Call-to-action

Your goal in videos is to either get them to immerse in more of your content, subscribe or to buy your stuff.

If you want them to visit your blog to get to know you better there, tell them your website and put it in the description box below the video for them to easily click on.

Subscribing works in a couple of different ways.  You may want them to subscribe to your Youtube Channel OR subscribe to get your newsletters…or whatever you send out via email.

In that case you need to make sure you have a way to capture their name and email.  That is called a capture page or landing page.

We use a really simple platform called Lead Pages  for our capture pages.

All you have to do is pick out one of their templates the “gurus” have already tested and proven to work and just take it step-by-step.  If you feel stuck, chat with support!

Length of Video

Ideal time is 3 minutes or less.

Gotta have some nuggets in there, but you wanna stay on task.  As soon as you start rambling, you lost them!

A helpful exercise is to think about your most embarrassing moment.

Write out some bullets.

Is it clear?  How could I make this more clearer?

Is this interesting?  How could I make it more interesting?

Is it necessary to say this?  What does it add?

Have I told my audience who, what, where and when?

Then practice it.

It will show you how much you can get in, in just 1 minute.

Now you can effectively do your up to 3 minute video with lots of great content.

It doesn’t have to be 3 minutes, in fact if it’s under 3 minutes, it’s totally ok.

Eye Contact

Yup, it’s just you and the camera… assuming you are recording alone.

It’s a bit strange at first looking at a small round dark circle.

But it’s really important to look directly into it so you are giving your viewers eye contact.  If you look at something else, they won’t be connected with you.

Tools to Create A Video

You will need to purchase Sony’s FDRAX33 4K ($999), a tripod ($29), a collapsible light reflector ($15), LimoStudio lighting ($55).

Actually you really don’t…

I put what you need at the end instead intentionally so that you wouldn’t get side tracked thinking you need a bunch of high end equipment.

Funny how things evolve!

So your question may still be at hand…how to create a Youtube video?

All you need is that image that I put at the top here…your cell phone.

Today cell phones take great videos and as long as you speak with projection and confidence, your audio will be great.

After you do your first video, get a tripod.  It will make your videos stable and your life easier.

You can do selfie videos or have a friend/family member record, but honestly it just leaves space for excuses for why you can’t do one that day.

When you have your tripod, you can do it anytime without relying on anyone.

You might notice that we don’t do all of these steps in EVERY video, so we get a lil lazy sometimes.

As parents, do what we say to do not as we do!   😉
