Do You Give

Do You Give

Red One Hundred Percent

How many times have you found yourself talking about giving 100% to what you are doing or going “all in”?

I bet it’s quite often.

This is a common theme when leading and speaking about success, business, and leadership.

Give 100%

Go all in!

Right?  We have all had this very conversation in our own heads even.

That small debate rages in your mind:  am I really leaving it all on the field, am I giving 100% to what I am doing?

Brace yourself~  No, you are absolutely NOT giving 100% no matter how much you want to try to convince yourself that you are, sorry, you simply are not.

There is always SOMETHING more that could be done.  Something more you could give, something more you could tweak.

I believe a good starting point for finding real motivation in your life is to start by accepting that no matter how awesome you think you are, there is still more you could have done.

Not believing me?

How about this:

That very moment when you find pause, collect your thoughts and regroup yourself to realize, “man, I just gave 100% to this” is the exact moment you just wasted time not giving 100%.

Those few moments you spent lost in the notion of completeness, you could have spent making one more call, one more text, one more message, on more…..whatever.

See my point now?

100% does not exist.

Now what do we do with this realization?  100% doesn’t exist… now what?

My hope is that this opens your eyes to two very important gut checks:

1. We can always do something more, always. and
2. Knowing we can do more should open our minds and dive to push beyond accepting any notion that we have “Arrived”

Often, people fall short of accomplishing goals or finding success because they believe that they have given their all, they have done all that could be done and fallen short…

or..

People arrive at a certain level of success, thinking that they have accomplished some significant achievement.

Quite frankly, maybe they indeed have?

But???

Had they pushed just a tad bit further, made a few more moves, took a few extra steps, they could have been at the top, not a level on the way to towards the top…..

Guard yourself against the 100% fable.

Keep pushing, keep going and keep stretching yourself for more.

Great things often await on the other side of…. “I gave 100% today”.

Reframing your mindset will help you explore new heights of achievement and success.

I know first hand because I’ve done it.

This is how we continue to raise in the single digits of our company.

We train our team on this same principal and have a lot of people reaching new heights in their lives.
